I personally recommend avoiding Lynn's Embroidery at ALL costs.
I purchased a stocking to be embroidered as a Christmas gift. I dropped the stocking off on Dec. 11 and was told that it would be available for pickup on Dec. 13. The following week I still had not received the stocking so I called Lynn's. They had not completed the stocking but assured me that the artist would complete it first thing in the morning. When I arrived to pick up the stocking I quickly realized that the embroidery was off center and also crooked. When I pointed it out, the artist grabbed her measuring tape, stormed over to me, and proceeded to "prove" that the lettering was centered and straight (which it absolutely is NOT!). Clue number one to RUN!
I attempted to procure another stocking but it was nearly impossible with it being so close to Christmas. After several days and countless phone calls, I was able to locate the same stocking in Kokomo. So I returned to Lynn's on Dec. 23 and asked them to redo the stocking with the name centered and not crooked. The lady who took my order was incredibly rude and seemed offended that I wanted a second stocking made, even though I said I had no problem paying for the embroidery. That should have been my second clue to RUN! Regardless, they took the stocking and promised it by Jan. 3, the absolute latest date I needed the stocking by. I still had not heard from Lynn's on Jan. 2 so I called to verify that the stocking would be available for pickup. I spoke with Lynn, who assured me that the stocking was complete and available for pickup but that they had been "too busy" to contact me. Great customer service, huh?! And by the OWNER, nonetheless!
When I arrived to pick up the stocking on Jan. 3 the lettering was straight and centered, but the embroidery was done in white and not the gold color that I had requested. I refused to leave the store until they refunded my money.
For a shop with "embroidery" in the name, they sure had a rough time with 8 letters. I would recommend Freckles Graphics in Lafayette or Tricia's Embroidery in Monticello. Avoid Lynn's unless you are prepared for headache, hassle, and ruined items.
