Worst donation center in town. Called to verify we could drop off love seat and recliner and the person on the phone said yes and when they were open til. Arrived and were turned away because they said they were closed. They said we take donations until 6:30, it was 6:29. When I pressed further they said, actually we don’t have any room. When I asked if I came earlier would they still turn me away they said yes. Despite being told on the phone they were open and we could bring our stuff. Absolute joke. Obviously they don’t care to receive nice donations. Go somewhere else and don’t waste your time like we did.

I will never go there again. We had some furniture to donate. We called their phone number and followed the prompts for donations. We confirmed that if we brought furniture, that there was both space for it and that they were accepting donations. The lady on the phone said, “oh yeah, we accept furniture donations anytime we’re open.” We loaded up the truck and 20 minutes later we were pulling into the lot to drop off the items. When we pulled around to the donations area, it was 6:29. Their sign said they stopped taking donations at 6:30, despite what we were told on the phone (they said 7pm on the phone). The two squirrely-looking employees informed us that they weren’t going to take the furniture and that even if we had been there earlier in the day, they “didn’t have room for furniture.” Even when we informed them that we had called and confirmed everything prior to coming, the cold-hearted scoundrels unapologetically refused to take any of our donations. Contemporaneously, it began raining fairly heavy. We called the phone number back again, to inform them that they may want to give correct information next time someone calls, and the lily-livered employees wouldn’t even answer the phone this time — no doubt, unwilling to own up to their mistakes. Angry, and not wanting to end up with criminal charges, I just drove the furniture back to our house to sit in the truck until I have time to drive it to the dump, because it is now waterlogged and ruined.

St. Vincent de Paul himself would be rolling over in his grave if he knew how the employees at the store bearing his namesake were treating people (that is, if the Catholic church hadn’t dug his body up out of the grave twice and then encased his remains in wax and put him on display).

Cincinnati area St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Stores are open normal hours for 4th of July but Northern Kentucky ones are not!

Confusing as I checked the Cincinnati website on Google and thought they are open and would be the same nonprofit since it’s all one metro!

I thought for sure they would be closed on 4th of July so I was surprised when I checked the Cincinnati website; will remember next time that the ones in northern Kentucky are a separate nonprofit!

Overall love the store, however witnessing the act of an associate has forced me to give a negative review. I witnessed the cashier with black and red dyed hair very aggressively yell at some kid to stop looking in a bag of toys behind the open back display case. While in other stores this might seem right thing to do, this store literally expects shoppers to go behind the to look at other merchandise, where this open display case is. And another thing, I and several other people have been told by other cashiers that it is perfectly acceptable to take out and examine merchandise from behind the counter without the need to ask. In addition, my family and friends have had generally bad experiences with the cashier being rude to customers and really believe she should be let go. Hope this person gets some talking to or even let go if necessary, cause am not going to support this store if I have to deal with this I’ll-mannered miscreant again.

Let's see I will start with the pros first. It's a very clean the workers are very sweet and kind at the front. The young men that help you with donations are extremely polite. The worker in particular is very sweet and kind she is short with glasses and is just so pleasant all the time. My con is not being able to bring something back like clothing, because you can't try it on there. That happened to me this weekend. I have a bag full of clothes and nothing fit. Don't get me wrong the money is going to a wonderful cause, maybe a 24 hr return policy could be put into place. Just a thought that's my only reason for not giving five stars.

Becca, the manager, and all of the staff are amazing. They are professional and friendly. Store is clean, uncluttered, and well laid out. Prices are reasonable, unlike Goodwill. I’d prefer they not write prices on the items but like Goodwill they do. Most are easy to remove with alcohol, nail polish remover, or another agent specific to the item. If I don’t think I can get ink price off I don’t buy. Will shop again. Highly recommend.

Drop off for donations is super easy around the back. Staff are very friendly. The store just opened and is large with items spaced out well. This is where the Your Choice Furniture store used to be. The food pantry is on the left in a separate store with different hours. I do find it odd that some items are marked with Black sharpies. I tried to rub it off the glass and couldn’t so a different tagging system would be a suggestion for improvement. It’s definitely worth a visit. I thought pricing was fair.
