The store itself is so beautiful and everyone there makes sure you have great experience.

The Watch Bratva (The Watch Bratva)

My name is Rich and I am from San Antonio, Texas. I am also the Chapter Head and Founder of RedBar San Antonio. Last week I was in Chicago for a series of business meetings and to also attend the MicroLux Chicago watch event. During my free time, I visited many watch boutiques shopping for a new watch. I finally made my way to the Panerai boutique located at the Waldorf Astoria and was immediately greeted by this really nice guy named Rich. He asked me what I was looking for and I replied “I would like to see the Submersible line of watches”. I then quickly added “now before we get started, Im from Texas and don’t have thousands of dollars in cash on me, do you take American Express.”
He laughed and said “indeed we do” and I said “great let’s get started”.
Rich was AWESOME! He took his time and brought out one of each execution of the Submersible they had in stock. He allowed me to check each one out carefully and answered each and every one of my questions. He was incredibly patient with me as I was having a difficult time deciding which one I liked best. Never once did I feel any pressure to quicken my purchase decision.
Eventually I chose the 47mm execution of the Submersible (see photos attached).
We then concluded the transaction and I had them FedEx the watch to my business address in San Antonio, Texas. The watch arrived in one business day and everything was perfect.
The entire experience dealing with Rich at the Panerai boutique in Chicago was absolutely incredible. I HIGHLY recommend this dealership and will tell all of my watch enthusiast and collector friends about my amazing experience at Panerai Chicago. I travel to Chicago twice a year for business and you can rest assured, I’ll be making a visit to Panerai Chicago every time I’m in town. Panerai Chicago and Rich have a Texan customer for life! Thank you again for making me feel right at home at your phenomenal boutique.

I want to share the great experience with Rich as boutique manager in Chicago. I never had this such great shopping experience in the high-end watch store. He treated me like the real friend and was so eager to satisfy my husband need like the brand new timepiece without any display period. He also put a nice bottle of champion in the bag because he knew I will celebrate with my husband for 20 year anniversary. My husband was thrilled by having this great shopping experience in Chicago. He started looking for the next one with Rich....

Strangest purchase experience in a high-end watch store.

Sales person that interacted with me couple of days ago for a bracelet exchange, was probably not what the brand had in mind when they opened their stores: He made no eye contact with me, did not greet me in, nor on the way out. While I did not expect to be thanked for a purchase, it’s kind of customary for salespeople to use that awkward string of words “Thank you” at the end of a purchase, no matter the value. When I asked for a receipt of my transaction, he mumbled that it would be sent to my email. Unfortunately there is no email to date.

Also, in my pocket was very rare super high end newer watch, and I asked for it to be cleaned - this usually means a courtesy 5 min deal in any high end the watch store (i did not ask for a watch repair cleaning, that requires bezel polish and and watch dismantle). Instead of understanding the value of an ongoing customer service for a small gesture such as cleaning with a soft cloth and alcohol, he refused to even consider my request. I’m used to sales people in high end stores understanding that each customer no matter their clothes, or how they look, is another client that needs to be won and gained as a customer.

The store is beautiful otherwise, nestled adjacent to the Waldorf Astoria.

I had an amazing experience at this boutique. Initially, I brought my watch in for service (by the way, Panerai has a great warranty). Tony attended to every detail and kept me apprized of the process and progress, even with the COVID closures. Eventually, I decided to buy another watch!!!!

This team provides the premium experience you would expect from this storied brand. Recommend the boutique most highly.

This is a fantastic place if you want to purchase and know watches, staff there are extremely kind. At this time I want mentioned their store maneger Rich Scumaci, who is very professional, kind and treat people like old friend.
