If you're looking for something custom, a one of a kind stay away from the big box Jewelry Stores and go to Merrillville Jewelers and see Paul!!! I met Paul 8 years ago when I needed a specific repair to my grandmother's rare green diamond wedding ring. He walked me through many options explained everything in great detail. The pricing was considerably less and the quality of craftsmanship was considerably higher! My future son-in-law asked me to help him pick out rings for my daughter and we went straight to see Paul at Merrillville Jewelers! Paul explained everything showing us 4 different diamonds that met our criteria along with several baskets, bands and options to design the ring! Once selected he called my son-in-law back in to approve the Wax image of the creation. The entire experience was awesome and I will include some pics so you can see Merrillville Jewelers work.

What I love about this place the most, is the honesty! Paul is thorough, forthcoming, and beats all the competition! I know this because I shopped around. I lost a stone, and he gave me plenty of options. He isn’t pushy or salesy, but works with every customer to fit their specific tastes and budget. I very highly recommend this place! Paul is great! Got.there right after he closed but opened back up and fixed my broken watch band at NO COST! He could have sold me a new one but went ahead and repaired my old one. Great to work with honest and friendly people!

We were checking our options for an engagement ring and wedding bands and we came across Merrillville Jewelers. As first timers we only have a limited amount of knowledge with diamonds but Paul was so helpful, he gave us a lot of information as well as tips to achieve the rings that we both like and how to save money as well. A few weeks ago, my husband went to Paul, at Merrillville Jewelers for a ring for my birthday. Paul was most helpful in assisting my husband in picking out a very different, and unusual tanzanite ring. I definitely recommend you visiting this jeweler BEFORE going to the larger stores. I have been coming to Paul for some years for repairs, and other small purchases. This time, he really surpassed my husband's expectations, allowing him to give me a beautiful, and "one you won't see anywhere else" piece of jewelry to celebrate a special birthday.
