I went here a little while ago to get a few boards for a project on my buddy’s farm.
They were nice and helpful. I’ve sometimes dealt with jerks because I’m a “small potato” customer at a few other lumber places (I travel a lot), but this place is great.

Love this place!! Had an emergency water line busted at my house. Kelly bros is the only place around here with plumber stuff I needed to get our water fixed and turned back on. I called them at 4:55pm not knowing they close at 5pm. Told them my situation and the Employee stayed late for me to get there so I can get my material. Even gave me some advice on how to fix the water leak. Thank you Kelly bros! I have wife and kids at home and don't think I could have gone without water waiting on plumber.

I am a local to Kelly Bros store in Dry Ridge, KY. I have been here probably 5-6 times. I hate leaving reviews, and hate negative reviews even more, however, I feel EVERY single time I've been in this place, I wish I would've turned around and left. This company is extremely overpriced and has a very very limited selection. The reason, I am writing this review is because the people/staff/owners are ALL extremely unfriendly and very unhelpful. They seem very "bothered" that you are in their store looking at items. Very strange really... They all seem very unhappy and speak in monotone any time you ask a question. Like it's straining them to answer you. I have even sat waiting in line at the checkout watching them interact with other patrons. Not a laugh or smile to be found in this place! In this day in age, there are A LOT of other choices when it comes to Home Improvement Stores. I doubt this will discourage anyone from going into Kelly Bros.... but you'll NEVER find me coming here... ever.. again!

I always call around to find the best price when buying materials.

I truly believe this place probably has the highest prices in all of Kentucky. Prices are outrageous! I have done the math whenever I get a quote from them and their prices are 15-50% higher than If I just go to Lowe's, Home Depot and Menards. I don't mind spending an extra $3 in gas if it saves me hundreds of dollars to go elsewhere.

The one time I just needed a PVC fitting, it was nice that they were only 15 minutes away when Lowe's is 30 minutes away. But even then, I overpaid. It was just a few dollars so I didn't mind. The staff seemed nice. But if you have a large project you need to get done, stay away from this place.

I really want to support local business, but apparently this local business doesn't want my support.

Please lower your prices!

I really enjoy this place close to home only thing I would say is wish the website was easier to understand to where I could find the product I’m looking for and show the price

Rude people, plus they're trying to retire early. Charging more than drug dealers do for their products. $90⁰⁰ for a $28⁰⁰ box of tackstrip for carpet. And it wasn't even a full box. 72 pieces instead of a full 100. I'll never go back there again, I promise that. All I can say is, wow, greed is terrible thing nowadays. Thank you for opening my eyes.

Rating a 1 but actually it is a zero. The service from Kim A at the dry ridge location is HORRIBLE!!! She is plain out rude! Has a sign outside the building that has been recently put up within the last 5 days that says “call a head of time”. I was in there just last week and the sign was not there. So I kindly called and asked when the order would be ready. Kim gets rude with me and says “well are you going to come in? You have to pay for it!”. Obviously I have to pay. When I go in, she does not greet me. Rudely assumes that I was the one that called and tells me my total. Throws my card on the counter. When she gave me my papers, she rudely threw them at me when I left I said “you need to have better customer service” then she proceeds to tel me that my two brothers and I cannot be in there at the same time. Mind you, there was 3 workers and 2 other customers in there. I called up there and the GM wants to do nothing about the situation. This place is A JOKE. I will NOT return to the dry ridge location. I suggest you don’t either if you want good nice service.

Called about a price quote on lumber. They were $100 dollars higher than big box store, but I want to shop locally. I asked if they could better and they said no before I told them the amount. Poor CS skills. Bye bye hello Lowes
