I've been to several other jewelers outside of the Dayton Mall area that advertise their excellent customer service, and attentiveness to customers. The other jewelers always disappoint. They either make you feel uncomfortable while you shop, or they tsk at your need for a battery change.
The difference between James Free Jewelers and the others is clearly night and day. James Free Jewelers will never scoff at your timepiece, like others may. I find this amusing because you would think that James Free was the more snobbish of jewelers. This perception could not be any more wrong.

From the first time I entered the store I was greeted and offered a beverage. The customer service is excellent. I am a David Yurman “fan” and have made my purchases by attending the DY Event which occurs in October. Even if a purchase is not made (which I do), the atmosphere is so much fun and friendly.
I had a mishap with one of my purchases, and James Free gladly resolved the issue to my satisfaction.

My inexpensive (less than $200) but favorite G-Shock watch battery died. Despite not buying it from James Free, I decided to use them to change the battery and reset the watch because I’d only heard good things about them. While wearing scrubs after my shift, I walked between two lion statues flanking the doors into an oasis of luxury that I felt a little intimidated by. I’d never been to a jewelry store in my life! Right away, a kind and smartly dressed employee asked to help me, and we got everything competently squared away with ease. I left feeling my watch was in the best of hands. They called me the next day to let me know my watch was ready. As if it were the Crown Jewels, it was carried out to me on a tray and tucked into a monogrammed velvet pouch for me to keep. I was amazed that a normal someone like me was treated with such respect and cordiality by a business usually accustomed to waiting on wealthier people than myself. I will always remember how nicely I was treated and I will only use James Free for future jewelry needs and purchases. They get customer service right!!
