Chestnut Ridge Winery is an excellent West Virginia Winery with a beautiful location on top of a hill in Spencer. The location is very relaxing with plenty of seating inside and out, as well as some walking trails.

The owner is very nice and very knowledgeable about her products as well as other wineries in West Virginia. It's a pleasure getting to talk with her about the area and the wine.

They have an exceptional variety of wines, from deep, complex dry wines like the Blackwater, to more sweet, fruity, relaxing options like Blood Orange or White Cranberry, so there is plenty to choose from for everyone. There are also many other local goods in the shop to buy, like jams and jellies, honey, sauces, etc.

Overall Chestnut Ridge is a very nice, relaxing place to visit that is well worth the trip. Definitely check them out if wineries are an interest of yours.

5-stars for Theresa and Chestnut Ridge! Visited here this weekend and Theresa (owner) stayed late past closing time to accommodate me. She was welcoming and friendly and took the time to walk me through her lovely wines and provided other WV recommendations. The property is beautiful and I cannot wait to visit again!

Chestnut Ridge Winery is situated on a hill about Spencer WV. It is a beautiful setting located right next to the forest. It is landscaped so beautiful with shrubs flowers and amazing walkways. There is several trails if you into a nice walk in the woods. The winery itself is a beautiful building and inside is set up with seating so you can set and enjoy some nice wine. The owners of the winery are such nice people and allow samples of there wines. They have a great variety of wine and are always coming up with something different. You won't be disappointed.

We had a lovely time at the Chestnut Ridge Winery today. We visited with friends on the outside patio and drank wine and ate cheese. We bought three bottles of wine to take home and bought one for our friends. Phillip and Teresa Holcomb, the owners, were very hospitable.

We love this place! Every time we are in from Ohio we are sure to visit and take home at least a case with us. Great variety of wines and relaxing atmosphere. We always enjoy our conversation with the owner as well.

We have been to Chestnut Ridge numerous times and they never disappoint. A wide variety of exceptional wines from semi-sweet to dry reds. A beautiful setting as well. Highly recommended.

Lovely winery. The wine is very good and the views are amazing. There are hiking paths that connect to the winery. It is a trailhead. Very Nice
