What a charming little restaurant right on the Ohio River!!! There is a bar on the first floor for drinking or waiting for your table.

We made reservations, but I'm sure they could have taken walk-ins at the time, because the dining areas were not full. However, we wanted second floor balcony and thought reservations might help secure that. Other dining options include: inside on the first floor or second floor, and first floor sidewalk.

We had a beautiful view of the Ohio River. And, the weather was perfect for dining outdoors.

The food was incredible. We started off with fried green tomatoes. For the entree my husband and I selected the fried chicken. (THE BEST I have ever eaten!!! Boneless with just the right amount of breading, deep fried to the perfect crispness, hot, juicy and tender. SO GOOD!!!) It came with two sides. I chose carrots and brussel sprouts. He chose mashed potatoes and carrots. We also received rolls with butter, apricot jam and honey. And, because it was highly recommended by someone we met on the distillery tour, we ordered the honey pie for dessert and shared it. I'm going to pass on that recommendation right here...don't leave the restaurant without trying it yourself. It is heavenly!

The staff members were friendly and helpful, and very attentive. It was such a pleasant experience, I want to return with family and friends.

A great find in a small town..

Great service, clever décor, efficiently managed. Excellent food? exquisitely prepared‍? and plated.?️

It is a short simple menu but the choices are fantastic. The specialty bourbon drinks are very unique.?

I like a restaurant that has real cloth napkins!
And does not use store-bought paper towels in the bathroom.
They have real nice heavy paper ones like the kind in nice hotels?

Funny thing?.
It is possible to be confused? going to the bathroom ?.
Very cleverly designed. ?

I recommend making a reservation and I suggest sitting upstairs outside on the patio overlooking the Ohio River.
They do not overbook here. They carefully manage the amount of people balanced with their employees.
They do not overload the staff. Very impressive.

I also suggest getting an appetizer and a cocktail while waiting for your food.

What an amazing, hidden gem! With the Ohio River meandering by, the view from the upper balcony was so peaceful. Staff members were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Our food was absolutely outstanding! Our server, Autumn, was truly a joy to visit with. Our experience was just over the top! Our evening is a treat we will remember for a very long time!

We had a lunch party of 8. Everyone really enjoyed their food. I got the salmon sandwich, and it was great, as were the fries that came with it. Very unique fries, but in a good way. Salmon was perfectly cooked, not dry. All staff were professional, efficient, kind, and accommodating. Cozy, rustic, clean atmosphere with optional outdoor seating that overlooks the river. The honeypie dessert was great as well. Can't say enough good things about the food, waitstaff and overall experience. Worth the drive from Cincinnati. (PS: old Beehive was great, but I like this new version even better)

Such a fantastic place to eat! We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch. The charcuterie board is a must. The view from the top deck is unmatched! A must stop if you are in the Augusta area!!!

Through recommendations from the crew at Augusta Distillery. We got to experience this wonderful place. Food, service, and atmosphere were awesome. Bourbon glazed salmon, loaded mac-n-cheese. Sirloin steak with glazed carrots and parmesan crusted potatoes. Then to finish it out, honey pie!
Beautiful decor and outstanding music!
Can't wait to revisit in summer to sit on the patio.

Came down for a girls day on Sunday to explore sweet Augusta & of course had to grab some brunch here! It was so yummy (I got the biscuits & gravy) but everyone loved their meal! The vibe of the whole restaraunt was cozy but upscale. Would definitely come back!

We were very impressed with our service, food, and cozy, warm, Christmas atmosphere at the Beehive Tavern Restaurant in Augusta, Kentucky. Our server, MAISEY, was excellent. She loves her job and it shows. She was very professional, helpful, and treated us like friends.
The view of the Ohio River and the local ferry from the window seat and balcony, was very beautiful and relaxing.
Our choices of food was fresh, hot, and perfectly prepared.
I even have to comment on the restrooms- the cutest I've seen in a long time. The Beehive and staff truly go the extra mile to make everything welcoming and comfortable, ensuring that, if at all possible, you WILL return!!!
We highly recommend the Beehive in Augusta, Kentucky on the beautiful Ohio River.
