Buyer beware- NO returns for unworn items.

I really hate leaving this place a bad review as I shop here frequently. However, as a small local business owner myself, the owner is 100% wrong about this.

I purchased an off the rack black suit from this store, and had no alterations done. All original tags and packaging are present- suit was never worn outside of trying on in store.

I decided I do not like the black, and would prefer a different color. I requested to exchange the suit for one that I would more enjoy wearing- not a refund, simply an exchange of an unworn, unaltered suit.

The owner said absolutely no exchanges whatsoever. Didn’t even take the time to listen to my concerns.

This is an insane way to do business as a “local” retailer in 2025.

The staff is friendly, and the item quality is marginally acceptable for Owensboro, but if your mind isn’t 100% made up, don’t buy from here as you will be stuck with it.

My advice- stick to the tried and true Owensboro men’s stores that value and prioritize the customer over greed and profits.

If you’re looking for menswear, try the Earle, Byron & Barclay, or J.J. Fosters for a more customer forward and friendly experience.

I flew in for a family emergency, but my suit continued flying without me. I needed a suit and tailored within 48 hours. I searched the largest town from Tell City and found Kingdom Cords. Zach approached and I explained my situation. I was absolutely blown away with his level of kindness, understanding, and professionalism. Within 15 minutes I was in and out. Zach picked out a suit and tie, measured for alterations, and assured me that I can pick the suit up Monday morning. Kingdom Chords is by far my favorite place to shop for clothes. They are fantastic and provide personal help each and every time I go in. They rushed a suit coat alteration for my Dad in time for an event and it made all the difference. Anytime I’m looking for something, I go there first.

My son decided last minute that he wanted to attend his junior prom. We walked in the day before prom and were greeted with such kindness & understanding to our rushed situation. My son got a great suit, shoes, vest and tie that was pre fitted and in stock to take home the day of! Everyone was SO helpful! 10/10 for service. Will recommend!

There really is no words for this store nor their employees. Everyone is top notch and so are their products. If I need a new hat it’s kingdom cords if I need a new shirt guess what it’s kingdom cords. They have made a great addition to Owensboro.
