Terrible customer service. They have a very grumpy owner who screamed at me for trying to find a restroom while my wife shopped and bought several items. I went to the back where the exit sign was, and there were two doors on either side before the exit. They looked like they could be a bathroom, so I tried to open them. They both opened, but neither was a bathroom. There were no signs saying that there wasn’t a restroom, nor any signs saying those doors were restricted, and they were not locked! When I turned around to leave, a grumpy angry bald man yelled at me and told me I should have asked. I told him that there should have been a sign and he told me I wouldn’t have read it. I responded to his rude comment and told him that I was looking for signs before I tried to open the doors. Maybe he should get out and speak to customers instead of sitting on the checkout counter drinking coffee!

I love shopping at Beth Ann’s Hallmark! Visited there today and left with pretty Thanksgiving/Christmas decorations & gifts for family. Third picture me resting with new Christmas socks on and a cozy Santa blanket watching a Hallmark Christmas movie. I love the snowflake mug! ❄️ Beth and Doug (owners) are just the sweetest and are so helpful!!!

Store was in shambles. Boxes all over the floor. Which is a tripping hazard! Selection was horrible!! Everything was empty. The cherry on top was the old grump behind the counter. I smiled at him and got nothing in return. With being next to jungle jim I would expect a more full card selection. They’re very prideful for being there since 1972 but boy they don’t act grateful.

I must say this by far the worst hallmark's I have visited. The workers did not greet me when I walked in even though it was only two customers in the store. The white older male worker was seated on the counter as pretended he did not see me when I walked in or made eye contact with him. My assumption is he does not like people of color shopping in the store. Please avoid at all cost. I'm so use to hallmark staff being friendly and displaying great customer service. This location scored a 0. Is this the same type of experience others have seen at this location?

Website hours wrong. Additionally the posted hours on the door say they should be open until 6pm. I'm here at 530 and they're closed. No answering machine no nothing. Lost my business.

Wow. One of the least positive interactions I’ve ever had in a retail store. I never. NEVER. leave reviews…but the older man that works there (owns, potentially, based on other reviews) is the crankiest man I’ve ever dealt with in a retail environment. Refused to check for my UPS package, lied about it not being delivered (I had photo proof of delivery) and told me to come back “around 5”. He then brought me to the back because “he’s carried enough boxes today”. Honestly shocked. Its pretty ironic hallmark is known for its sugary sweet, cutesy brand but has this man representing it.

Let me start by saying that if I could give "ZERO" stars I would. There is a reason why the ratings for this store is so low. I was there today to pick up three cards. The only staff person (an older man) was who later identified himself as the owner. The other reviews address his behavior in relationship to UPS service. Trust me, it's also seen with the customers of HIS own store! His rudeness and lack of positive customer service sends the message that he does not want to serve you as a customer. The tone in his voice is that of rudeness/sharpness and his facial expression and attitude, are just as bad. He never said hello when I entered the store (no one else was there and now I know why), and he never came over to ask if he could help me find anything. I was beginning to think that the store was unattended. When I finally figured out where to check out, I asked him if he had any other cards like the one I was looking for. He said there were not and he only boxed cards. Keep in mind that the bins in the "Thank You" card section was almost empty. I asked if he would be getting more in. He looked at me and in a rude voice said, "Yeah when Hallmark gets them". I didn't respond. Just waited for him to ring me up. He keeps the credit card machine close to him so he takes your card. He kept hitting the machine as though he was responding to questions appearing on the screen. I asked, "Aren't I suppose to approve the amount being charged". He said, "NO!!" then handed me my bag and walked away. I said, "Your customer service is not very good. You don't have to be so rude. I'm going to return these and go somewhere else". He replied, "Good go somewhere else". No eye contact at all. I kept standing there. I repeated, "I'm returning these". He said, "No!". I said, "You have to give me my money back". He said, "No". At that point I pulled out my cell phone and began recording. Only THEN did he come back to the register and begin the process of refunding my money. Then he charged me again instead of refunding me and as a result, he had to refund me double the amount. This IS NOT good customer service! There are other Hallmark stores in this city that do offer good service. It took me having to begin video recording him before he refunded my money. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS STORE LIKE THE PLAGUE! If he doesn't want to be bothered with customers then he needs to close the store or let someone else run it. Not a good place because of the owner!

I just signed up to be a crown rewards member recently after YEARS of not shopping Hallmark. To my chagrin, I have to agree with every review that is negative about this particular store. I am an adult professional woman and have popped into this store to pick up cards and gifts since it is the closest store near my office. I am not sure if this store has had many disrespectful customers in the past but I think you should treat everyone who comes in, at least initially, with gratitude. We do not have to shop there and can order from Amazon or other stores. The male owner is, at best, quite surly. I have tried to be nice and upbeat. The other comments are correct, each time that I have been there, I have been perhaps the only customer or possibly one or two more people. I will have to advise them, since I am a business consultant, that they should consider closing the store if they do not wish to be in retail anymore. Off the cuff, a client facing business is not a core competency of theirs and they are in fact in a very competitive and saturated market with technology use surpasing and supplanting written missives and paper cards. Perhaps retirement might be appropriate or passing the torch to a manager who is not as disenchanted with the public. I get it, the privilege and lack of store employee respect is off the charts in today's world. Yet, there are innocent people who come in and truly are nice and willing to pay for the items that they want to buy.
